They frequently run sales, and I've found that you can often pick up courses at very good prices. Because of that, I usually wouldn't pay the regular listed price without checking to see if a sale is running.

Rod Moore - Watercolor Painting - Introduction To Watercolor Painting

Rod Moore is another instructor I really enjoyed. He's very personable and explains everything very well. He has a way of making watercolour painting interesting and fun, and I found his encouraging approach really helpful.
I'd recommend Rod particularly for someone who's becoming an advanced beginner. He also provides reference photos, which I found useful when working through the lessons.
Watercolour Mentor (Darren Yeo) — House and Building Portraits: Line and Wash Essentials

Darren Yeo, who teaches as Watercolour Mentor, has a very loose style of painting. I found this course less beginner-friendly than some of the others I've taken, so it took a little more effort to follow along.
That said, if you stick with it, you can produce some excellent paintings. I enjoyed seeing Darren's loose approach and found there was plenty to learn from it.
One thing that really stands out with Darren's courses is the amount of content you get for your money. He can include up to 10 demonstrations in a single course, which gives you a lot of opportunities to watch him work through different subjects and techniques.

This is a little off-topic from Urban Sketching but, this is one of the best courses I've taken on Udemy.
WordPress & Elementor Mastery 2025. Ricky Wallace is a very good teacher and explains everything in a way that even I could understand!
He also makes the lessons fun and interesting, which kept me wanting to come back for the next lesson.
I actually built a complete website while taking this course, so I wasn't just watching the lessons — I was putting what I was learning into practice. I found that really helpful and came away from the course with a much better understanding of WordPress and Elementor.
I even used what I learnt from that course to build this one.
