I'm always looking for ways to keep the cost of painting and sketching under control. Art supplies can get expensive very quickly, especially when you start looking at good quality brushes.
I've noticed that prices can vary quite a bit between retailers. Jackson's Art is one place I've found some surprisingly good prices, particularly on brushes.
I recently bought an Escoda Versàtil #8 travel brush from Jackson's and saved about $30 compared with prices I had seen elsewhere. That's a pretty significant saving on one brush.
It doesn't mean Jackson's is always the cheapest option — I still compare prices before buying — but I've found it worthwhile to check their prices before ordering.
